:D Well not really. I just have a question on those front suspension ruber bumpers. I see them in the catalogs and was wondering how you replace them do you just cut the old ones out of the castings for do they punch out? I didn't want to beat on the casting to much so I didn't try it till I got some good advice.

Craig, IIRC, the front axle bumper is held on by a metal retainer and that is held on by the 2 u-bolts that connect the axle to the springs. They should come out fairly easily with a little persuation.

    Rubber Bumper Removal

Well I probably wasn't clear enough in my post. I actually have the cast piece with the rubber in it removed from the truck. I am just not clear on if I have to buy complete new units or if I can just replace the rubber. If I can just replace the rubber how do I get it out without breaking the cast piece. I didn't want to beat on it much because the mounting areas where the u-bolts go look like they would break off pretty easy. But then again they are bolted to the spring so maybe they are stronger than I think. I considered cutting as much as I could off the top and then punching them out as they are tilted over from either being bottomed out a bunch or from just deterioration.

I pressed mine out. Took very little force. You could spray the edges with some Blaster and they will come out easier. I would have used a hammer if I didn't have the press:D
