Hi family. I posted a message about my stuff getting stolen while at the shop. And thanks for all the condolences. Based on the responses, I'd planned to just cut my losses and go on. However, Nate jarred my memory of another missing piece from a previous post where he stated that the stock radiator is good enough to cool any V8. If that's the case, then Huston, we have a problem. I am putting a 327 in my 48, and figured I would need a better radiator to cool the bigger engine. For space and preference, I am planning to use an electric fan to help cool down things. So I was set to buy a desert cooler to achieve my goal. But if that's the case with the stock radiator being efficient enough to get the job done, then I will be seeking restitution for my radiator from the shop. Due to Nate's vehicular expertise, I fill confident in recycling my stock one. Lord knows they sought reimbursement from my wallet for the work they done. I will opt for AC in the future if that makes a difference, but for the immediate presence, I plan to tool around with just Mother Nature's coolant (windows down as needed). Any V8 enthusiast please chime in on whether you kept your stock radiator and how it's doing. I go get my final pieces Friday, and then, it's on.
Thanks in advance for all replies.
    48er out.

Stock radiator is fine , use an electric pusher fam , the widest one that'll fit and mount it up as high as you can , wire it live with a relay to prevent heat soak on those hot summer days .

When you add AC , be sure to allow 1/2" minimum between the AC condensor and the radiator .

I use and like , 2/65 AC in my '49 , it always works fine .

Yeah, I'm running stock radiator in mine. 350/350 turbo. Trans cooler mount on the back side of the grill. No A/C in mine. Running two electric fans. Mine runs at 180 on the gauge. Hope this helps.

101 degrees here today. The 2/65 A/C worked great. Little hot and sweaty at the red lights, but the smile was still there.
