Stupid question, do the identations have to be in the hood to mount the front hood emblem or is it flat on the back. My truck didn't have an eblem on it when I bought it, so ive never seen one in person and my first plan was to not put an emblem on, so i got rid of the indentations. Thank You, Austin
Austin, it shouldn't be a problem to mount a front hood emblem on your truck without the 4 indentations. The emblem will mount flush to the hood. The identations were put there as added strength for attaching the emblem (for people like me who have a tendency to over-tighten things).
Do the "Tighten-up" Q: "How much should I tighten it, dad?" A: "Tighten it 'till it breaks...then back off a little bit". Heard that one first on this site and use it all the time. Andy
Tight? For a little change of lingo Andy, I've always heard you should tighten it as tight as you can, then give it an extra quarter turn. Bob
From Shop Teacher , 1963 : " Turn to the right to make it tight " At other times : " Righty - Tighty , lefty - Loosey " If it breakes , it wasn't any good anyways IMO .
Beautiful Truck!!! That's a slick looking truck, Austin! I checked it out in the photos~ a V8 I assume? What frame is it setting on? I only ask because of how far out the tires set. Cool look! The paint reminds me of a Nissan I had. Great job!
Thanks Zig. It is a V8 and its sittin on 75 chevy frame. As for the tires, they don't stick out that much, but they do because they're 31x10.50 on 15x10s. The color is Mariner Blue . Thanks Again, Austin
