Hi everyone. I've been going crazy trying to figure out what year this grille is from, and exactly what kind of truck. I'm thinking its a '66, but I haven't seen a grille yet with the chevy bowtie in the middle. Please see the pics and offer opinions if you can!
Bigger than a C-30. I have two of them a 64 and a 65 and both have the standard grill without the bowtie. I'd say C-60.
It looks like a 1962 C-60 grill. The latter years had the Chevrolet name as a separate piece above the grill, not on the grill itself.
Now I'm confused. Here are some links that I found showing 64-66 grills. All of them have the Chevrolet name above the grill, not on it: http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery/stormer_jeff_1964.html http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery/burgoyne_robert_1964.html http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery/stockdale_todd_1965.htm http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery/kaner_bill_1966.html http://www.stovebolt.com/gallery/lucas_monte_1966.htm
Yea, I feel pretty certain that the ones in the linked pictures are seperate pieces, but it leads me to believe that the grill shown as the topic of this thread is from a different year, not from 64-66. I'm certainly no expert in this area though.
Spent just a few minutes with Google searching for images. Here is a pic of the same type grill but there was no year referenced. http://www.firenews.org/ct/ThomastonMEE2Chevy.jpg I am assuming that it is a 64-66 because there was also a '62 model pictured that had dual headlights.
