I'm going to put power steering on the truck. Can I use brackets from a 250 or 292? How many brackets make up a complete set? Pics would be great if possible. Thanks

make sure you buy the rez kit from our hosts here. you deffinetly DO NOT want to mount the gear to the frame without the rez mounts. the gear will eventually bust the frame and youll be flying with no direction.

i have some issues with the rez kit, i think it is under engineered. it causes some problems that could be solved easily by a different pitman arm. or modifying it. i believe i got it worked out by adjusting my tie-rods, but the driver's is almost bottomed out and the passenger's is stretched almost beyond its usable range.

i agree, what you get is well engineered, i think they could have taken it a step farther.
just the issue with it spacing the box off the frame. i realize it has to be this way to be a bolt on kit, but maybe a redesigned pit man to keep the box centered, allow the tie rods to remain in the proper position. i drove my truck for a week before i adjusted the tie rods, it was quite jerky to the left(box trying to center its self) and would not turn very sharp to the right before reaching the limit of the box travel. made it fun to park to the right. i was able to adjust it out, just don't like being so close to having no more tie rod adjust-ability. probably will never have a problem, but it still bugs me.
also have a problem with the steering column aligning with the box, i have since realized my cab mounts need replaced. cab sits lower than it should

if any one is looking to buy the REZ kit, our host has the best price i have found
    thanks for the info Dval

One of the items in this installation that will make you nuts is the indexing of the column before making the connection to the steering box. On many GM columns they give you a little help with a small groove cut in the top of the steering shaft located under the horn button. That notch MUST be at 12:00 o'clock and the steering box MUST be in it's middle position, wheels pointed forward.

If that is off, even just a little bit, the turning to one side will be effected as well as the directionals not self-cancelling...

And, of course, it needs to have the front end aligned after its' all in !!
