I recently bought a 12 bolt rear end for my 65 Chev C10 and I was told it was from a 68. I bought it beacause it had the correct mounting hardware and the 5 bolt axels. From what I have been reading the 5 bolt axels didn't come out until 71, Is this correct? I am going to have the rear end rebuilt and would like to know how I can differentiate between the coil sprung rear ends of this time? In what year did the width of the axel housing change and what are the two different measurements?

Also the spider gears have been welded up and i would like to fix this. Where can i buy all the parts i will need to get this rebuit?

Thanks for any info you can provide!:D
