After gathering dust for a couple years the 63 got its wrinkles ironed out and painted. Actually starting to look like a truck again rather than a shell that was in bombing attack or something. It sits on an eighty five Caprice chassis which needed zero alteration as far as wheel base or tread width is concerned. It was WAY easier than an AD (47-54) that I put on an S10 chassis. The bed floor is kicked up to clear the Caprice rear coil spring set up but will have a bed cover and never be used as a truck anyway. Short drives around the section has shown a ride like a luxury car and that was what I wanted, a cruiser, not a hauler. The interior pic shows a five inch channel job which dropped it down and preserved all the original lines and kept the suspension stock. With the price of gas maybe I can use it for pretty yard art when done.
