Fellow Chevy Truck Enthusiast, Before I start modifying my hood hinges let me ask this question. I switch out cabs on my 1959 frame. I removed by 1959 small window and replaced it with a 1955 big window. The complete cab was in way better condition then the original 59. My question is now my hood is up about a half inch at the chow (where the wipers are). Should I have used the 55 hinges? I am using the 59 hinges with new springs. I can not adjust them down any more. Remember there were some shuttle changes with the cabs between the 55 and 59, like wiper motor mounting, and the hood hinges are different. Now remember the front clip fenders and hood is the stock 1959 type. Thanks
