Well, I finally decided to get on this board and make a few posts. I've got a '52 Chevy 3100 I've been working on for the past year or so... mainly cruising it and enjoying it. It was my dad's daily driver from '77 to '82 with me being born in '80. Its pretty unique since my dad put a different drivetrain in it back in '77. He previously had the drivetrain in a '50 3/4 ton. Its a '66 Pontiac Sprint 6 motor (OHC, I6, 11:1, 4bbl, split manifolds, etc) with a 3spd Saginaw shifted with a Hurst and a 3.90:1 10 bolt posi... all out of a '66 Tempest.

Here is my car domain page.

I'll make a post on here with a ton of pics of what I've done over the last year... I'm currently doing a 3" drop axle from Sid along with a few other things... can't wait to get it back on the road in a week or 2!!!!

Here are a few of my other rides... I'm a huge gearhead if you can't tell. :)

Good to have another ol' trucker with a Pontiac engine under the hood. Mine came from the factory with a Pontiac V8.

    Welcome Jeremy!

Man, that Sprint 6 looks right at home in that engine bay! Really nice looking stable of vehicles!

    Seriously!

What an apparently good fit! How much work did you have to do with motor mounts to fit that baby in there? The transmission is what was mated to the block?
Great pictures! Must be nice to have all that talent!

Yeah, dad has a '53 5-window and we also have a '48/'51 hybrid sitting around that is a truck and a half.... enough to make one good truck. His '53 has an early '80s monte carlo frontend on it... he did it all himself and it turned out pretty well. All my family is into cars... cousin has a '53 as well with a 350/th350 and nova subframe. Anyways....

Not sure on mileage of the engine, dad rebuilt it and put it in there in the late '70s. It runs well, I think its .060" over, otherwise stock. I've added pertronix guts to the stock distributor and a few other small things but nothing much. I plan on a big cam, ported head, headers, and a T5 transmission in the future. This is a '66 230ci motor. PMD made the OHC6's for 4 years... '66-'69. '66/'67 were 230's, '68/'69 were 250's. We have a low mileage '69 250 sitting around that I want to stroke in the 270 cube range and put a turbo on it. Nothing wild, just 400hp or so. I think it would be cool as hell in this truck, all old school right along with the drop axle I'm putting in it this weekend!

Thanks for the compliments! I'm trying to get the lowering done for a big event in August... I'm taking my dad along with me, he hasn't ridden in it since '82.

Not sure... like I said, my dad put it in there in the '70s. I'll try and get some pics of it while the front suspension is out right now.
