57 body

    hi wondering if someone can tell help with some info, we have just purchased a 57 is there any difference between pick-up and truck bodies from this year?

    The bodies for 55 2nd series, 56 & 57 are the same. The grill design is the only difference each year. 58 & 59 changed to dual headlamps and a one piece grill.

    But if you wanted too someone can pull the whole front end off of a 58-59 and put it on the 55-57 cab and frame with no problems.Same the other way around. But you cannot interchange core supports, inner fenders, hoods, hinges or anything between 55-57 and 58-59- they have to be pulled off in whole.

    that is sort of what we are looking for, I personally havent seen the truck yet but guy who brought it and is picking it up said that he thinks it looks like the body of the has been made wider at the front, is the body on say a 5t truck wider than a 3/4t truck?

    The cabs are the same size.
