Jack up the rear and place on jack stands. Rotate the left rear wheel. Is the right side rotating in the same direction ?? Posi !

Another way is to get out in the boonies and do a burn out. Both rear tires leave rubber ? Posi ! Only the right side ? non-posi..

well val, the lil burnout deal doesnt always work, i thought mine was a posi trac rearend to at first cuz everytime i do a burnout it will leave a dam good set of posi marks but when i jack the rear up and spin the left rear, the right rear says otherwise :(

Then it could have a limited slip rear diff. Not locked until you get on it. It wasn't factory if it has it.
