    Cool!

What engine is that? Looks like a LSx of some sort. Do you have any more pictures and details about your project?

this is all very good info, i really appriciate all the comments and discussion. thanks for the info on what cars will work for the front end, im sure ill go with a prefabed front end thou. i drafted in a transam front end into a buddys 63 c10 and it was alot of work to get everything true. the easy part was the welding. id have to say that doing that was much more work then when i four linked a 74 plymouth scamp that i used to drag race.

thanks again for all the excellent advice!!

Its a truck motor outa of my 2000 silverado...i put a hotter engine in it and decided to drop the one i took out into the 53.. The trans is a TH350..and the rear is a 66 chevy pickup 3.73. The steering box is off a 77 chevy pickup and the tilt steering column is off a 85 chevy van. the fuel tank is off a 2003 tahoe.and it tucks under the bed against the frame nicely....so ill have a 53,66,77,84,85,2000,2003 truck...lol...Im trying to take a $400 POS and turn it into a descent looking rat truck...And i may keep the 22's on it..Ill try to get some more pics up...The paint shop missed the flat black paint so now i have a semi-gloss truck...

Yup~ and I rode in it.

Shotwheels (Rob) stuffed a 350/auto into his stock front end. He did a slick little disc brake conversion and down the road he went. Stock steering, stock suspension... just better braking!
Our host sells some of this stuff.;)

Why cut if you don't have to?

    Hey triley,
I'd be interested in more info on the 03 Tahoe fuel tank. How did you mount it? Is it still side fill? Some pix would be nice. Thanks

i just welded in a round brace all the way across the frame...just like on a tahoe..and an angled one on the front like a tahoe...then just made some strap mounts and welded them to the braces and then wrapped the straps around and bolted to the bottom of the frame...i had to cut a hole in the side of the frame for the fill neck....i hope to mount it in the bed floor...
