I am reassembling my 1966 short fleetside bed & realized I have forgotten how the cross sills are arranged. There are three tall & 1 short crossills, all are the same length. Which ones go in front of the wheels & which go behind?

Does any one have a picture or diagram of the cross sills that shows the layout?

Also, our sponsor now sells a set of urathane trunnions for the tail gate pivot. They are only listed for step side beds but can they be used on a fleetside bed? Is there a difference in the trunnion diameter? These would really help reduce the rattles.

    Thanks

I dont how how to add a Pic. but if u got into my profile u may be able to find what ur looking for . I took several pic of my box as i took it apart. If not from the fron panel it gos big, big , small, small, big. or you can lay them on the chassis, rearrange till u have level surface across the bed surface. Kilroy was here!!!

    That brings up a question?

Mine only had four (4) 3 big and one small.

I have been told and everything thing I have seen has always had 3 and arranged big big small big as looking from the front to the rear for a short bed.

Also the mar-k website has a nice fleetside bed drawing on their site but the details are not really there you can select parts and it takes you to their part and the price.
