The site for, http://www.cliffordperformance.net/ , they have a lot of stuff for the different six cyclinder engines. For split manifolds they have a X piece for the exhaust piping.

Thanks for all that, Nate, this is really nice!
"no one seems to pay any attention to the basics anymore , I don't know why." Well, I am afraid people think basics are not sexy enough, they do not bring points at the show... It is also very tempting and easy to just replace everything until it works...

    I Hear You Chris

~ but throwing money at problems tends to make things worse by not only hiding or obscuring the initial problem but often by also creating new troubles....... :(

The good thing is : when they give up and bail out for pimples , the project usually has lots of cool new parts I may or may not decide to keep after sorting out the running / driveability issues .

Way back in the day when I did restorations on Vintage VW's , I did some judging and didn't like it as most folks figured they'd win if they but threw enough cash at the car , then along came Nate who looked for the correct washers and 14 MM ATF bolts and nuts on 8 MM fasteners , used by VW until the 1961 Model year and long forgotten by everyone else.....

Plus of course, dozens of other little " Just So " things I always kept in order on my beaters that routinely made long cross country trips whilst the trailer queens were lucky to drive off the stupid trailer.... no trophy for YOU ! :p

The really amazing thing is : I always found these Unobtanium bits in the
'junk boxes ' these fools threw out of sold for $5.00 at the swap meets...

Also I'd find bits on those long forgottn carcasses in the deep woods or desert plains , just lying there for the taking .

    Basics

I always seem to use the basics. It's funny that I read this post today because I'm learning how to use a dwell meter and tach and I found even more tips as always from you all.
