    What's this, Nate???

I see on Ol' Chebby's thread you mentioned the use of a Suburban sway bar on our old, stock AD's. Is it really true??? Can I really take the sway bar out of my old, wrecked Suburban and put it in my AD??? Please tell me how to do it. My kids will be overjoyed as they are heartbroken that "The Behemoth" is sitting in my yard, waiting to be parted out for our Rat Rod project and to spruce up the new 'Burb before going to the crusher. They just loved that beast and want me to save everything off of it before sending it to the scrap yard. They would be ecstatic if we could use a part off of it for their beloved truck.

I think Nate is referring to the sway bar that came in an AD Suburban, not a late model Burb. I know that the TF GMC Burbs all came with sway bars that will bolt into a GMC TF truck.

    AD swaybars

Just a suggestion....check into the aftermarket front swaybar offered by most AD vendors......I added one to my 54 truck without any frame drilling.....the holes were already in the stock frame. It was a 30 minute install.

I am running a late 80's IROC-Z bar on the rear.....the 39" eye-to-eye lets you drill 2 holes in the lower frame rail to hook up the IROC control links. The bar mounts on TOP of the diff and you may have to use a 3" U-bolt as the Camaro axle tubes are 2-5/8.

Front and rear swaybars, along with gas shocks and radials will all but eliminate body roll.

    Sorry Andy

You need to find an AD Suburban sway bar , original ones are good but there's an aftermarket one that's even better , both a bolt up deals and are worth their weight in gold as far as handling and safety improvement...
