1954 radiator

    Hi, Has anyone changed their 1954 3100 rad. out to a later yr. for better cooling? if so what year will drop in my 1/2 to with a 235?

    I dont think anything will drop right in without alot of modification. You can buy new radiators for these trucks, thats the way I went. Chris

    Take your old one to a shop and have them add cores to the rebuild.

    Stock Cooling System

    welcome to the nuthouse ! :D

    You'll be pleased to know the original radiator is plenty large enough to cool a 500 C.I. Caddilac engine so you're old 216/235/261 will be just fine , you need
    to first due a major tune up then clean the cooling system , consider using my Citric Acid Powder cleaning method as there's silted up rust in the we corners of the water jacet you cannot otherwise reach...
