Does anyone have a diagram on how rear brake lines should run, after a front end disc brake conversion for a '66 half ton. Proportioning valve in place.
I don't have a diagram, BUT ! From the master cylinder, they both run down to the left frame rail, then forward to the front crossmember. For the front lines, a T fitting is installed on the left front frame rail. One side goes to the left wheel, the other across the BACK of the crossmember and is routed to the right front wheel. For the rear, the line runs across the BACK of the front crossmember and then down the inside of the right frame rail to just below the firewall. There you should find a fitting if you are retaining the existing rear hard line. You "may" need an adapter fitting to mate the new brake line to the old fitting, but a brake supply shop should be able to hook you up. Val
Val describes it best I have a few pic in my gallery of orginal locations if u care to look. I ordered my lines from www.inlinetubes.com and everything was pretty self explainatory. i also did a font disk brake conversion Kilroy was here
