66 cab on 63 frame?

    Will a 66 cab fit on 63 frame without modification to fame? just wondering thought ask someone whos tried this before. thanks for any help guys:D...

    I think the only difference between a '66 and a '63 cab were the A-posts.

    63-66 the cab mounts are the same. What ya doin Morton?

    thanks for imformation Jermey:) just thanking later on useing 66 cab instead of 63 because 63 cab is rusted real bad. if I do that with cab switch any part in the 63 cab is yours if you want them bro:):cool: Morton

    On my 63 cab I will be changing it to a 66 cab because the 63 cab is rusted to bad the front windshield does have a bad rust spot in first picture to save:( the last 2 pictures is the 66 cab thats being put on 63 frame its 100% better shape than the 63 cab,this is something Im doing later on in the spring when it warms up some:D.

    isnt 63 the year they went to the new frame? i thought 60-62 had the frame with the x in the midle then 63+ had the ladder tpe frame. thats what i think i read anyway. lol

    That would be correct. 60-62 the same, 63-66 the same. But that is for the 2wd. All 60-66 4x4 frames are the same, except for motor mounts.

    i put a 62 cab on my 63 fram and while it fit, the mounting holes did not line up. I also had to buy longer bolts because the 63 mounting bolts were too short. other than that, it worked.
