I have a 86 scottsdales that I am restoring.I want to put different wheels on it.It's far from being original and do not want it to be.I have decided on torque thrust II's-16x10-4in backset. My question is what size of tire to go with?My truck is not and will not be lowered.I want something that will fill the wheel wells as much as possible and not have a problem with rubbing.Being a old school type of guy I do not have very much experience with the bigger wheel and tire combos.Anyone got any ideas?Photos would be nice.
16x10's wont fit up front with a 4" bsp. you need at least 4.5" and then they may stick out past the fender edge. 8" up front is as wide as i would go. i ran 17x8 w/4.5"bsp up front and 17x9.5" out back w/5" bsp...fit perfect. no rubbing. g.t.
Have a friend running 18x10's w/4in backspace all around on a 87.No rubbing. His has been lowered. What would be the difference between 18's and 16's?
