    Guys,

Are there any really solid, HEAVY duty (and reliable) GM 4-speed manual transmissions out there. I`m looking for one that would work well in my 66 shortbed stepside p/u.

I`m aware of the M22 4-speed (as a matter of fact, I have one my my 64 that I'm trying to sell); but the gear ratios are way too close to run with a highway geared rear end.

What about the Saginaw 4 speed? I`m looking for something that holds up well over time with minimal problems. Any suggestions?

Ftyler, you will probably need a wide ratio transmission they don't come much better than the Muncie what are you asking for the M22?
As for the Saginaw they are a not a very strong transmission I would look for a M21 wide ratio for your truck
