I was just wonderng if you guys new if I could change the gears in the rear end of my 1965 c-20. I think it has a 3.90 gear ratio because it has a top speed of 60 and a first gear that lasts about ten feet.

    Yhanks,

    Mike,
I just changed the gears in my 64 from 3:73 to 3:42 with a new Aburn Posi and new axels. There aren't too many gear ratios available for 12 bolt rear ends, some you can select from are 3.08,(the highest available) 3.42:1, 3.73:1, 4.11:1, 4.56:1 and even lower. The ring and pinon must be changed (about $175 -200 new)or you can change the third member with the higher gears if you can locate some in a junk yard.
