Earlier this year I asked the forum about a way to cover the old hole in the cab that was used to fill the gas tank. I put a new aluminum tank out back where the spare tire goes so I needed to fill in the old tank filler hole. Well, basically we just measured the hole, cut a piece of steel and used an English wheel to shape it. I welded it in and we covered it with some fiberglass and body filler. We have since put a coat of primer over it. I will try to attach some photos for everyone.

Thanks to those who wrote in with suggestions.

Looks good! What's the plate for between the seat mounting rails?

I am putting two Corbeau racing seats with 4 point harnesses in the truck. So, we put the plate in to secure the seats to because the mounting brackets don't quite cover the space between the rails. Also, it adds some stability to the inside of the cab.
