    Hello all,

I am needing help and suggestions on how to clean the chrome strips on the side as well as the grill of my 65 Chevrolet pickup. They are the original chrome strips and grill on the truck and the weather through the years has caused it to lose its lustre. I was wondering how the best way to clean this chrome and hopefully restore the lustre as well. I did not want to take a chance on damaging the chrome or scratching it by using harsh chemicals or abrasives on it. Has anyone out there ever used a product or have a way that they know will work on this chrome to restore its lustre?

Thanks again and I look forward to hearing your suggestions soon.

Try a product called Mags aluminum cleaner. It worked pretty good on the custom cab chrome trim. Just ok on the grille. My bumpers were so clean and shiny that I ended up buying a new chrome grille. :)
