Does anyone make the AD hood safety latch spring? I tried the search function and it just keeps bringing up hood springs, the same on typing in the "part wanted" in online catalogs. It seems that most are broken or rusted to where they will soon break. I've used up my supply and will have some made if none are available. Now the problem, most places don't want to gear up for a small run. Fifty would be wonderful but if there is a hundred or five hundred minimum run then I'd like to see if others would be interested to help defray the cost. Maybe even suppliers like our host. I'm not in the parts selling business so if I get them made I'd want my cost and mailing expense back and that's it. They are so small they wouldn't need shipping--just mailed. Picture below.
I never even gave that one a thought! I figured that all vendors would have an ill-fitting repop of that! I looked through several of my catalogs and have not found one yet! Here's my challenge to you! A man with your talents and abilities should be able to fab his own and not even look back. Shouldn't be that hard to do with the right material and tools, eh?
