17.5????

    is there such thing as a 17.5 inch rim? the tiress on my stock rims say s-17.5 did gm ever make a 17.5 and why did they do it?

    that probably means 17 by 5 wide.

    not sure about chev but dodge made a 17.5 rim.

    Yes, 17.5" tubeless wheels were used on fleet trucks and offered by Ford, Dodge and Chevy. I have sets for my 56 and 66 3/4 tons and had a set for a 62 Dodge power wagon. They are about 6-7" wide. Most are 8 hole, but some are 1/2 ton bolt pattern.

    By having them for fleet trucks they could not be "borrowed" by employees for standard trucks, so I have heard!
