Hi does anyone have any old licence plates or old garage signs they would like to donate to the office in my garage , i am looking to make the entrance into a kind of 50's time warp , with american diner stools for waiting customers and an old school gumball machine for the kids (or us at lunchtime ), i know its a long shot as some of this stuff can be expensive these days , but WHY , ill take anything related that your chucking out/no longer have room for ! i too would love to get ahold of these kind of things, i have alot collected up and on the walls of my shop, but man, alot of this stuff is expensive. my wife and i like going to big antique shows were theres about 400 or more venders, we find alot of cool stuff from the 40's and 50's for the shop, but we usually end up only coming home with a few things, even after talking the sellers down a bunch there still pretty expensive. we also spend alot of time going to the local antique/junk stores and we have found alot of old oil cans, clocks, and signs, but still pretty spendy at times. good luck and let me know if you find any jackpots!!
As you can surely expect, its even harder over here! A fe people have send me some bits and pieces , i think itll take a while to fill the reception up , but itll look great when its done !
