Any one running corvette suspension? My chassis is almost complete, using 96 vette suspension. Thinking of changing my mind again, and going with ford 9 inch and vette up front. I have another chassis to start. Just wanted to find out ride quality........thanks...........
i dont know if anyone on here has done it but i know of a truck featured in classic trucks that did it http://www.classictrucks.com/features/0609cl_1955_chevy_stepside/index.html
Thanks,That truck was built by Porterbuilt, they have a web site, and are located in Az. thats where i got the idea from ............
Hey, I did one a while back for a guy and when i drove it it was a great ride. I would leave it all vette. But if you are doing pro strret or a high horse motor i would go 9 inch. Cliff
Cliff, you know if the vette rear end out of a 96 would handle 500 horses? It's not the dana 44........ Not planing on dogging it, just want the torque........Thanks P.S. Pic of chassis in my profile........
Hey, Ya it will i have a 8.5 10 bolt and it handles my 500 horse 383.The vette rear ends are good the camaros are junk.My buddys got a zo6 vette and he is well over 600 at the wheels.Did you do the frame work your self? if so that looks great!! Cliff
Been using the c-4 vette stuff on The ADs and a few other hot rods for many years. Works well and is cheap. Exhaust is a pain and like was said if your going to run big HP the niner is stronger.Dont use a vette rack its too quick..adapt the t-bird rack to it...much better. I also did a 57 with total cost and it rode allmost as well...more money but much easer to do
c-4 suspension I have a 1955 Gmc truck I put a 1987 c-4 vette on the front from flat out eng. and I have a 80 camaro rear end with fat man 4 link from no limits. The installation was easy for the c-4 and 4-link. Not sure about the ride yet still puting truck together. I put a 95 lt1 with 4l60E.
