Hey Houtxengr, sounds good. I live in Tomball, if you need a hand or advice, I might be able to help. Am building a '56. 450 hp 383, muncie 4 spd, Volare clip, 4-link rear with a Chevelle 12 bolt posi. PS, PB, 1-piece PW, A/C, Nitrous.12 year project, so I have been around the trucks a while. Let me know.

    55 gmc with lt1 & 4l60e

I put a 95 lt1 & 4l60e in my 55 gmc truck. It work out great very fast with stock lt1. I ran the truck for 6 months with straight axle and disc bracks on front. work fine no problems. I have upgraded to a c-4 front suspensoin.
I used my stock radiator. I hate to tell you this the best way to avoid any problems with wiring is to buy a harness for the lt1 from Howell engine development or painless. They build the harness for plug and play you send them the ecm and they will reprogram it. You will have a head ache with the harness you have now.
