coolant and transmission

    today i was driving and i punched the gas and coolant shot out of the unused heater vents what should i check for first. i also have a problem with the transmission ( its an automatic) in the morning it takes me puting it in drive and i have to push on the gas and then it will go into gear why is that and what do i need to do to fix it.

    Not sure what you mean when you say coolant came out of the unused heater vents. The front pump in the transmission is probably leaking down overnight so that it takes a minute in gear to fill back up in the morning before the truck will move.

    More then Likelly Yer heater core is shot . First thing I,d do on the Trans is make sure its full of fluid . Best of Luck. Bob
