The horn is (could be) correct. It is a (2) wire GM horn which is used w/o a horn relay which is not present on the subject truck. I would own this machine, but as most of you have already stated, it is a bit pricey. BTW, I wonder what they "hanged" that muffler with? Is it suspended by the pipes? The black wheels are a nice touch - too many of us paint our wheels body color (guilty as charged), but for some reason I would have thought that the 5 window cab with the other accesories would come with the deluxe wheels (striped with those beauty rings). That ebrake lever knob appears correct - just like my '53. Also, my dash panels are indeed polished stainless as an accent to the painted areas.
    Good topic,

The Hemmings truck is not worth half the asking price. I wonder where that price came from? There is no way the builder has that much invested.

Did anyone notice the cheesy turn signals on the front fenders? They must have got a really good deal on the paint because they painted dang near everything on the truck that color! I love it when they say "all original", then they tell you everything they changed on it. Oh well...

    Another Generic Hobby Truck

HA ! . you can pick up a truck like this anywhere in California for under $10,000.00

Not a restoration by any means . the firewall mouned battery is (or used to be) very common , my '49 3100 is like that .

A nice old truck that looks ready to work or play , like my shop truck ~ it's a beater that's ready to go .

Or , take it and your checkbook to Even and have it done right .

What's the deal with the dashboard ? a center mounted glovebox ? or is there a radio hidden under that lid ? .

Gotta scrap those silly light duty car tires before someone gets KILLED in it .
