We have a customer that we did a 55 second series for a while back that brought it back to get a couple tiny rock chips repaired and the clutch adjusted. I asked him if he was going to show it and he said no, he was giving it to his church for them to sell because the assistance fund they had was low do to so many church members that had lost their jobs in this economy. He was paying to have a truck brought up to perfect shape that he is giving away. Needless to say the bill came to zero. It's a really nice truck with a 235 and the only straying from original being disc brakes on the straight axle, power brake booster with dual master cylinder, full pressure oil filter, three point seat belts, and a modern radio designed for the 55 dash. I'm going to put photos of the truck on my photo site and post on the 55-59 forum when the church puts it up for sale or auction. http://s32photobucket.com/albums/d41/coilover/ The other story is of a 1939 Ford Standard Tudor we did several years ago. The owner said he was getting into wood working in a big way and needed his whole shop for new machines and all the dust wasn't good for the 39 anyway. He asked about a young man that had always loved that car and is a hard worker but doesn't have a lot and asked me if he could give 10 thousand for it (it's a $30,000 car). I told him not to say anything to him because the price could just as well be a million and he would agonize over missing out on such a good deal. The next day he came back and asked Kory if he had a dollar. When he gave him the dollar he handed him the title to the 39.

Evan, I believe your story is more than uplifting. I only wish I was in a position to do what your clients did.
My family and I are doing a 40 days of purpose thing in our church. The objective is to spend the next 40 days thinking and focusing on just what the heck my (our) purpose is.
Stories like yours is just about it.

That's just way too cool, Evan.

Thank you for posting this thread with the way the economy is. We believe, and your story proves why we should never give up hope. God bless for people who know what really matters.

    That's GREAT !

One thought ~ if they have a raffle , they'll make more $ off it .

Here in Sunny So. Cal. the Gov't. has finally admitted what I've known for years : our unemployment is over 10 % and rising .

So many people are hurting right now , it pains me to see the hungry children but we're full up of Foster Boys.... :(

It's nice to see others lending a helping hand ~ that's what seperates America from the rest of the world IMO .

wow... what a testimony for others to give!!! Our church is also hurting as well as many others across the US.

We should all give what we can because non of it is ours to begin with!!! Its all God's anyway!!!
