So I was looking at the rear hanger on the front spring. I noticed it is fairly long or tall however you want to say it. I wanted to know if there is a car hanger to replace this, so as to get the spring eye closer to the frame. I think I could gain about two inches by changing this out. Would be a cheap way to lower the front if there is some available. I can make some I guess, but would rather have original looking stuff.

You are supposed to be able to swap the front hanger from the rear spring to the rear of the front spring for about 2 inches drop.

I looked at the front hanger on the rear spring. It's longer than the one I already have on the front. Sure you guys are talking about the hanger? What I call the hanger is the cast piece rivited to the frame.

I just make a new perch out of 2x2 tubing.Than i drill the center of a bolt and put a grease fitting and grease grove. Been in my 300,000 mile driver for 20 years now.Just know that you will need to make up some caster wedges for the axle as when you move the spring up you loose what little caster you had. It will drive badly and hunt like a SOB.Also keep and eye on the steering link. It has to be level or at least higher on the steering box end than the axle.nasty bump steer if not.

That's what I'm looking at.I have been looking into some trailer suppliers. I belive I can get a hanger from them that will work. I'm going to try a leaf spring slider on the front to bring it closer to the frame also. That may keep me from making new shims. Bring the front and rear up the same amount. Will be working on the front disc setup this weekend so I'll do some more diagnosing.Got the rotors bolted to the hubs today so all I have to do is get the caliper mount built.
