Here's a pretty cool old video for tractor buffs. http://www.liveleak.com/player.swf?autostart=false&token=568_1233111054 Bob
It would be so cool to play with. As I watched I was thinking what OSHA would do with it today. After all the safety equipment that would be added the thing wouldn't be able to move. Pinch points, exposed gears, etc. I wonder how many test drivers were killed during the 12 minute film? Gater
I've got a question! How many farmers in the 30's, 40's or 50's wore ties while on a tractor? I'd like to meet the SOB that invented the tie and strangle him with it!
Amazing ! Just try to get a permit to sell them now.... Does the term " Mechanized Death " mean anything you you alls ? . For those who don't know , Fordson Tractors were famous for flipping over backwards and killing the operator as he was frantically trying to shut it off or bail out . Nonetheless , I like it a lot .
Trying to find out more about the video - Google is finding nothing but the same video. What are the chance that any survived?
At least 2 have survived. They are both in transportation museums. I can't remember where the second one is, but the first one is in Alaska.
Another 1924 or 1926 snowmobile/tractor sighted in Billings,MT. It doesn't look like they'd be too hard to build yourself...if you dare!
Survivors Pretty neat to see some survivors here. I'm planning on going through Billings next week. Do you know where that machine is? Bob
Sorry, no I do not. It was posted on another forum with the same video link...I can't even be sure that it truly is in MT (heresay). Judging by the open countryside in the background, I'd guess it will pretty hard to track it down.
Awesome Video!!! I think that thing sharpens pencils, too! I can just hear that guy's wife now... "Fred! FRED!!!! Fred! You'd better get off that thing RIGHT NOW and get back in here to eat dinner! FRED! DO YOU HEAR MEEEE?!?!?!?!"
