leaking oil

    I HAVE A 1970 C-10 W A 250 6 AND A 465 4 SPEED TRANNY.IM TRYING TO FIND WHERE I MIGHT BE LEAKING OIL FROM. IT IS COMMING OUT OF THE FLYWHEEL TRANNY COVER.i REPLACE THE OIL PAN GASKET AND IT STILL SEEMS TO BE LEAKING.THE FLY WHEEL IS DRY SO I DONT THINK ITS COMMING FROM THE REAR MAIN SEALS.COULD IT BE FROM THE TRANNY?HOW HARD IS IOT TO REPLACE A FRONT SEAL ON A TRANNY.ANY HELP WILL BE GREAT.THANX

    It's probably a leaking valve cover gasket. Most all I6's have this problem. My truck and Jeep did the same thing. Oil will run down the back of the engine and it will look just like a bad tranny/oil pan/rear main seal. Check that first. It'll save you a lot of work if that's the problem.
