electronic ignition

    I HAVE A 1964 C-10 I AM PUTTING A 283 IN IT MY QUESTION IS CAN I REPLACE THE OLD DISTRIBUTER WITH A NEW ELECTRONIC ON(IS THERE ENOUGN SPACE BETWEEN THE FIREWALL AND THE ENGINE)THANKS

    Its gonna be a tight fit..but ya you should have room. I say room, not plenty, but it should clear.

    It will fit, but it will also be tight. If you are just putting the motor in, move the motor mounts foward one bolt hole. You will need to lengthen the drive shaft, but it's worth it.;)

    You might try to get a electronic ignition from a 87 and later Chevy.They used a small cap with the coil off to the side.They wire up about the same.
