I have attached two photos of the wiper arm and wiper blades that I received from our sponsor. One thing I noticed is the arms were marked right and left but they are identical. The other thing is that the wiper, when slipped into the opening at the end of the arm, is very loose and wobbles. I wanted to see if something was missing cause you only get one chance to keep from ruining the windshield with a big scratch.

    floppyflappers?

    Hey, Bill~
I don't think the arms should matter, and even on my much superior G, the blades were "floppy".
Are you using an electric motor?

Tailgater -- I recall the wipers seemed to be kinda loose and sort of bent back and forth as the wiper moved across the windshield, just like it was common practice of the wipers of that time. I just thought the cars of the 40's and 50's were mostly like that, when I was a kid. You just brought that to my memory. If the wiper arm has some wear, or damage, maybe it is more obvious in slopiness. I have the same wipers to put on my 2 ton Chev. yet, so will know more then, by a miracle, my vacuum wipers still work on our 1950 farm truck.

    :p

even on my GMC also the wipers don't seam that they will do to much. At least compared to the cars today. I am planning on using some Rain X on the windshield to help out with this. I have used it on other cars and it does help!!!

    Flip , Flop , Flip , Flop , Flip................

Now you know why we all hate the rain so much .

They're floppy so they can get the correct angle and drag some of the water away....

Clean blades and Rain-X will vastly improve the wiper's action .

OBTW : yes , there's hardly any pressure on them from the wiper arms , DO NOT use heavy pressure wiper arms ! those are for Electric wipers .
