HELP!!! Installed new sending unit with new rubber gasket (from Chevy Duty, of course) and now can't get rid of gas fumes. x( x( What gasket sealant do I use to eliminate gas fumes? What other steps do I need to take? Thanks and speedy replies are especially appreciated. -ftyler
Damn!! that sucks cuz I need a new gas tank sending unit and a gasket hopefully that wont happen but if it does just mail me and tell me what type of sealent is needed. Again DAMN!!! that sucks.x(

i used the gasket with silicone smeared on both sides. i also had to replace the filler hose. and make sure that the line going into the tank isnt leaking . I have no problems
