vintage air/aftermarket air systems

    has anyone installes a VintageAir heating/cooling system in a 65 C10? if so how do they compare with similar products and do you recommend any other brand of bolt on unit? raking

    Havn't installed in a 65 but run one in my 37. It's a really good unit and cools very well. The Gen II systems now are completly electronic using no vacuum lines to control vents. The Gen II system also is capable of complete control of heating and cooling temps allowing a combination of heat and cool at the same time.

    Their Sure-Fit kits for our trucks require some fabrication skills to mount condensor and evaporator and you will lose most of the glove box.

    I would recommend a professional install it for you.
