Major step for me. With help from my son we bolted the TH350 to the 6 banger and set it all between the frame rails . looks great. But now I see I need a rear suport for the auto tranny. Has anyone just relocated the bell housing support back further on the frame and redrilled for the tranny mount?? Looks as it would work Kilroy was here!!!!

Buy an aftermarket trans crossmember, Early Classic and many others stock them new for a shade over $100.

Yes that was the plan CCP has one for $80 . But my thought pattern is i have to take out the old to put in new why cant i just move it and reuse it instead.?? Follow my thought pattern here? Kilroy was here!!!

    I got ya ! ;)

The trans crossmember is pretty much a straight shot across the frame rails.

The bellhousing crossmember is wider and takes a mean dip in the middle. That would leave the tailshaft too low.
