    Looking On The Bright Side.....

(hard to imagine I know but) it's all ready for a modern Slushbox with overdrive as a bolt up improvement , then one can do the brakes and begin driving it whilst tinkering it back to health.... :)

At least that FUGLY GMC grille is gone !
    :D

i spose that its all good as long as its an AD... however there's nothing like driving a GMC around with 60 psi oil pressure fully warmed up;)

    Oh heck!

Geeze! I didn't know that was YOUR truck!!!

Don't be in such a hurry to get rid of your G! Everyone here knows that a G is worth MUCH more money than the "beautiful" Chevy. I'm sorry to here that your truck has a short block in it, but the rest is aG:cool:

Hold on to it, you'll come to love it even more! ...with time...

And~ if you don't like the grill, just approach it from the side. From inside the cab, they all look the same!;)

    Good luck, whatever you decide!

So, if you are an AD wanabee (like me) who drives a '57 GMC factory V8/automatic with add on Air Conditioning are you better off with the newer GMC than you would be with a AD Chevy?

Only AD GMC guys & gals get to vote!

Bill that is a tough one. For me i like the 47-53 trucks the best... I had a 59GMC in high school. I did love driving that truck around. It had the long non stepside bed with the long "bullet" looking sides.

But man Bill your truck is beautiful, and that GMC logo is awesome:D
