I am having trouble because there are a few parts on the truck that are not from 60-63 like the grill which is a 65 unit so it is not easy to tell what year it is especially 60-63 because they are so similar

Take a look inside the door jamb. There is a plate tack welded there somewhere. I'm not sure how to read it off the top of my head, but you can find the guide in the front of an ##### catalog. I'll look at mine at home and get back with you. You can tell everything about the truck just with the code. Later.:)

Yeah It would be easy if the plates were there but they are gone too the vin number is from a 65 but I know for sure it is not a 65.

What does the grill look like? Also, is the windshield curved? Are the vent windows rectangular or triangular? Do you have self adjusting brakes? All these things can clue me in better.

Check the frame # if it's still there :) it's on the drivers side on the top of the frame..... right over the axle or just to the front of it the 6 or 7 digits on the frame and are the last of the VIN # and the VIN has about 12?.....thats where mine was and just visible....

Well depending on what your after you can use almost all 2wd parts... 60 thru 66 except for the SUSPENSION!!!! that will be custom, from what I hear ... I bet you have 1960 tail lights... but thats ok everybody has them... I could be wrong and it wouldn't surprise me..... I have parts from all years 60 grill 65 steering box (manual 4x4 and for sale) 61 bed.. I believe a 66 rear bumper... the list goes on.... try gmcpauls.com They have a lot! good luck if you have questions there are alot of people hee that will help... I'm new to this forum and like what I see
