The piece of metal between the Grille and Bumper it runs between the both fenders??? Where can I find one for my 81 c10 ??? Are they easy to change ???
i'm pretty sure you're speaking of the lower grille panel. LMC sells them for $20. i can't imagine it would too hard to change out...but then again i've never done it
I Beleive there Called a Bumper filler panel . Its Been awhile But I Think They just have 2 going bolts into the lower front fenders on both sides then 1 or 2 more bolts in the center hood latch suport bar in Front of the Radiator . Fender & Support should both have Nutplates so Give The a good shot of wd 40 & let soak good So They dont twist loose . Or It can be a Real Pain . . Also would be Easier to Remove the Bumper first . Best of Luck. Bob
As far as I Know You can still Get them from the Dealerships, Also Several Places sell Reproductions Allthough the quality,s not as good as GM , I,m Not sure of Any offhand though . Check Your Local Parts places They Should Know Who Might carry them Close to You . Best of Luck . Just Seen GMC Guy Said LMC carrys them, if You cant get it Local .
Looks like Classic Parts also sells them, but you would pay as much in shipping as the part. http://www.classicparts.com/1981-82-Front-Lower-Splash-Apron/productinfo/66-033/ I would try a local junkyard first. As long as you can find a truck w/o excessive rust or front end damage, its an OEM part for less $$.
