Anyone have any idea what the correct direction of the offset washers is for the bed mount washers?

ie...the large offset must go towards cab for all?
or towards the side of truck? Or ?

    Thanks
    Shawn

I looked at an original truck when I did mine, so I assume it's correct but don't know for sure. The larger part of the offset goes to the outside. I think it may be to get the washer more toward the center of the board?

    Thanks Don,

Thats what I thought....makes sense to me that they go that way to get the washer to the centre of the board.

I did see other pics of trucks with the large offest towards the cab?

I notice you have 10? bed to frame bolts ?

Nice truck by the way !!
Any advice on the wood treatment?

    Thanks
    Shawn

You can't tell from the picture, but that's an 8 ft bed. That's why there's so many bolts. As far as finishing the wood, the only advice I have is AVOID using urethane. It will look good for a while, then probably start to peel. I think a good quality marine varnish might be the best. Maybe somebody else here has a better idea. I'd also suggest that you be sure to do the bottom and edges of the boards. Even though you don't see it, it will keep moisture from getting into the wood.
