manual to power brakes please advise

    Want to convert 1980 2wd pickup manual brakes to power.Can anyone tell me whats involved. I assume I need to get a master,booster,proportion valve,push rod etc. Any info would be a great help.Thanks

    I Would say You Pretty well have it Figured out . You Might want to consider a salvage Yard for the parts as a Unit along with the pp Valve . Just Look for one that hasn,t been sitting for ages & check the Master Cylinder for low or Contaminated Fluid . Also Step on the Brake pedal before Removing to make sure all seems to be Ok . If it appears to have no Brakes I,d Move onto the next one .

    That is if Your on a Budget as most Folks these days & You can get a good deal that is if there as plentifull where You are as They are around here . Otherwise go new. Best of luck & Welcome . :D Bob
