I just wanted to get some opinions. As I mentioned earlier, I sold my 59 longbox small window stepside. It had mucho rust and bondo. I found a long box fleetside big window that is extremely straight. No deluxe trim! :) kind of a hot topic lately:) It does have chrome grill, lights, and front bumper. It originally had the 283 but it has since been replaced with a 327 w headers. The truck has a 3 speed on the column with the optional overdrive which just needs a new cable. The truck seems very solid only it is a long box. ..everyone tells me that long boxes don't pull in the $$$ By the looks of it it would just need a good paint job.

What are your opinions? If I were to buy this truck for the 4000-4500$ range would I be able to get my money out of it later. I was thinking about doing mild upgrades such as power brakes and steering.

    Thanks,

    Derek

    Thanks,

    I did buy the truck.

It is heads and shoulders above my other truck.

Does the cable mount in the factory location?

Don't know. Looks pretty "universal" to me. You would have to cut it to length, but it comes with a cutting tool.
