No this is not a cliche ;-)
Seriously, I have a 64 C10 and I am under the suspicion that the rearend on my truck is not original. Mostly because the track arm has a different mounting on all the catalogs that I look at for parts, also it has the two piece driveshaft and the mounting for the bearing looks "homemade" Here are some pictures.

I would sincerely appreciate any help in finding out what is going on so that I can replace the bushings on the track arm.

I just checked and it has WE1227 stamped on it which from my research indicates it is correct for a 64, yet as I mentioned above the track arm looks different. Thanks in advance all!!

If your code tells you it is a 64 then I would believe it because I also have 64 parts truck and have seen many others with that very same style of mounting

I have a 65 and it is different than the 64, but the 64 is the same as the picture of the track arm you posted
    just my observation

Thanks for that input! I just wanted to make sure that the bushings and the parking brake cable would have the right hardware/size etc.
