vin # decode

    my vin # starts with K150. i know k is 4x4 but need to know what the 150 means. thanks for any help.

    Not sure if Chevy is exactly the same as GMC, but for Chevy the first four numbers after the K denote the body style. K1504 is the 8ft stepside and K1503 is the 127" wheel base cab and chassis.

    The 150 indicates a half ton truck.A 3/4 ton truck would be a 250.
