Help identifying part

    I don't know what the spring is supposed to do, but it sure helped keep that bar in place while I put my brakes back toghether.

    I think I recall, that spring was included in my brake hardware kit.

    Thanks 58fleetside! I checked through my hardware kit but I could not find it. Mine is a 64 fleetside long bed. What is yours? maybe that makes a difference.

    Mine is a 58 long bed fleetside. I looked through my parts bins and did not find a spare of that spring.

    I really appreciate you doing that!! I went back through both the 61 shop manual and my supplement for 64, interesting thing is that mine appears to be more like the 64 but with the added bar from the 61, I am wondering if someone put it in after the fact not knowing, because according to the manual the 64 no longer has that bar.

    Well I was actually able to find the spring here new! They even have the bar if anyone ever needs it.

    Bought mine at the local parts store they didnt change that part for years i told them to look it up for a 70 pickup and is was right.
