Gear shift too tight

    another question from me...


    3 speed on the column....

    gear shift is VERY tight... to the point i would have to use strength to try and shift.

    it is relatively easy up and down, but, pulling it back for example to go down to 1st, or forward to move into 2nd or 3rd is impossible


    shift rods are connected but not yet tightened down ....


    ideas?

    my 72 auto colomb was stuck solid, a little wd40 and it was back to new.

    I'll be damned...

    I sprayed some PB in the shift lever hole...and it loosened up!!

    I thought I had screwed up something putting all that crap back together.

    i freaked out that something was shot too. it was so bad that the p/o wasted the pivot pin and nearly tore through the mount on the colomb.
