Hello all, I am looking for a set of gears (or a complete chuck) for a 1950 3600 3/4 ton AD truck. If gears, need HG code (Detroit gear) 32 tooth ring, 7 tooth pinion (4.57:1). Appreciate all of your help as always. Reply here or PM.
    Thanks, Mike

Another option is the 4.10 gears. Bolt in deal just like the 4.56 your looking for. The casting #s are 3934635 and 3883379. 41 tooth ring and 10 pinion. Chris

Thanks Chris. Looking for this for my Dad. The ring in question has 22 mounting holes. Are there are 4.10's available for 3600? If so, I am sure they would be an acceptable (if not preferred) alternative to the 4.57's

Most salvage yards should have the 410's.

These are found under early 67-72 3/4 chevys, and its a bolt in upgrade. Chris

eaton 052 and 072 are killer asles and there more than just 4.10 and 4.57's available. rember to grab the entire chunk to make it a super simple swap.

    Chuck assy interchange

Chris, so the ENTIRE CHUCK ASSY from a 67-72, 3/4 ton chevy truck will bolt into a '50 3/4 ton rear end in place of the chuck assy that is there presently? I just want to be sure before I go looking for one. Presently, no luck locating an AD era one around here...

Mike, GM used the same center section to 72. You wont find a 4.10 ratio in a AD unless someone put it in themselves. I found my 4.10 in a 70 chevy 3/4. I have it in my 54 GMC, and is a totaly bolt in deal. Be sure to replace the gaskets on it and the rear cover, NAPA can get them for you. Chris
